Hilton extends cancellation policy

Hilton Worldwide is upping the time require for cancellation of room bookings from 24 hour to 48 hours. Effective from 31 July, the policy change applies to all Hilton brands in the US and Canada. guests who cancel reservations within 48 hours of their stay will be charged the equivalent of one night’s stay.

Emirates ups Moscow

Emirates is raising capacity on its Dubai-Moscow route. From 1 October, flight EK133/EK134 will switch from a B777 operation to an A380 service. The change will see the carrier offer double daily A380 services between the two cities.

Singapore Airlines Wellington rejig

Singapore Airlines has adjusted the times of its Singapore-Canberra-Wellington route. The changes, which come into effect from 28 October, aim to improve connection times with more services. Flight SQ291, will depart Singapore almost an hour later than currently, while the return service SQ292 will depart Wellington just over an hour earlier. 

Singapore Airlines Sydney seasonal increase

Singapore Airlines is upping the frequency of its Singapore-Sydney route between 5 December and 31 January. Flights SQ251/252 will operate daily instead of five times weekly raising the total number of services between the city pair to 35 per week over the period.

New Sydney Airport hotels

The new 136-room Mantra Sydney Airport is now open. Located just a few minutes’ walk from Terminals 2 and 3, the property also features a restaurant. Also in close proximity to Terminals 2 and 3, the 209-room Travelodge Hotel Sydney Airport is due to open on 1 September.

Cathay boosts Paris

Cathay Pacific is adding a twelfth weekly service between Hong Kong and Paris next year. The new service will depart Hong Kong on Wednesday mornings from 4 July.

IHG Indigo London expansion

InterContinental Hotels Group has signed a new Indigo-branded property in London. The 95-room Hotel Indigo London - One Leicester Square is due to open later this year. Located in the heart of the city’s vibrant West End, it will feature a rooftop bar and restaurant.
