Important Travel Update FAQs

In the event of fog

If fog is causing widespread cancellations and you are due to be travelling through an affected airport, please check the live flight information on the relevant airport's website to see if your flight has been impacted. We have provided the links for easy access in the New Zealand Airports section below. 

If you need to change your travel plans and your travel is non-urgent (i.e. not within 24hrs) please email in the first instance. For all urgent travel needs please call your dedicated FCM team.

In the event of earthquake

If there has been an earthquake in a destination you are meant to be travelling through, please check the live flight information on the relevant airport's website to see if your flight has been impacted. If you need to change your travel plans and your travel is non-urgent (i.e. not within 24hrs) please email in the first instance. For all urgent travel needs please call your dedicated FCM team.

In the case of an earthquake Civil Defence New Zealand will have the most up to date information you need to know and how it might affect you on their website and facebook page. Additionally, GeoNet New Zealand frequently updates hazard information on their website

Delayed or Cancelled Flights

If your flight has been delayed or cancelled and you need to change your travel plans, please call your dedicated FCM travel team to ensure minimal disruption.

After Hours Contact

If you need urgent assistance outside of our normal business hours, our after hours team is on hand to assist you with emergency services such as last-minute changes to itineraries or travel bookings.

Office Closure

If we have made the decision to evacuate our staff from your dedicated teams office, rest assured our other teams across the country will be on hand to ensure our service is business as usual while your FCM team is relocated and set up to work remotely.
