At FCM, we're passionate about Corporate Social Responsibility and are proud to be part of The Flight Centre Foundation. Our vision is for the foundation to become one of the leading corporate-based foundations in New Zealand, maximising the collective good that we can deliver to our communities via the charities that we will support.
Flight Centre Foundation
Building a brighter future in the communities where we work, live and travel
The Flight Centre Foundation is the heart of the Flight Centre Travel Group’s corporate and social responsibility strategy. It provides company employees with a means to support nominated charities through workplace giving and fundraising initiatives. All staff donations are matched dollar-for-dollar by the company, which also offers a paid program for employees who want to volunteer their time to community charities.
The Flight Centre Foundation works closely with a select group of charity partners on an ongoing basis, supporting key programs and projects to maximise our impact. In times of natural disaster and emergency, they help where they can with one-off appeals. The Flight Centre Foundation is currently partnered with Halberg Disability Sport Foundation and The Mental Health Foundation.
It's not all about financial support, with FCTG's people volunteering their talent and time at charities and community groups across the country.
The Foundation’s purpose is "to open up the world to provide a better future".

Supporting our communities
The global FCM Community program ensures we play a supportive role in the areas where we operate. It is also a fundamental part of FCM's Corporate Social Responsibility policy, which helps guide healthy partnerships with our employees, shareholders, customers, suppliers and the environment. Around the world, we aim to give back to the community by channelling our efforts through the following-
This is our global project that helps support local communities. We have a vast range of FCM Care initiatives in place around the world with our volunteers travelling to places such as the Philippines, Cambodia, Nepal and India to help build vital infrastructure.
As part of the initiative, FCM has partnered with Habitat for Humanity, an international organisation that builds and renovates houses to provide needy families with more secure, earthquake and fire resistant homes. For each project, our FCM volunteers work alongside Habitat for Humanity partners to construct homes for disadvantaged families.
FCM Corporate Innovator
This program is designed to invest in our leaders of tomorrow. It includes our support for local entrepreneurs and business initiatives, including training colleges, educational programs and corporate awards.
FCM Sustainable Futures
FCM shares the growing worldwide concern for our environment. Through FCM Sustainable Futures, we play an active role in protecting local natural resources, with our activities ranging from tree planting to carbon emission offset programs. FCM Sustainable Futures also includes the day-to-day actions that uphold FCM's environmental policy.
