A Message from Andy Jack
The Health and Safety Reform legislation is looming and we will know more in the next quarter. Momentum is gathering and early commentary from government looks like the New Zealand stance may lean more towards greater corporate ownership and fines, but possibly less likely to focus on personal director liability and criminal prosecutions. The legislation is coming, and regardless, businesses would be prudent to review their current procedures and policies.
Our Account Management team have been busy running through our TRM3 risk assessment modules. Providing consultations to best prepare our customers will not be on a silver bullet approach but rather form part of our annual review processes.
Domestic competition is heating up with Jetstar's recent announcement to expand its New Zealand footprint into the regions which will undoubtedly stir intrigue and interest. Greater choice in the regions with scheduling will be welcomed and it will be great to see how pricing is influenced.
